LeSportsac x Alber Elbaz

Iconic fashion designer and former head of Lanvin, Alber Elbaz teamed up with LeSportasac to create a timeless and light-hearted collection in celebration of women.

LeSportsac needed to find the right visual strategy to spearhead Winter 2018 and Spring 2019 seasonal campaigns for its collaboration with Alber Elbaz. We began by taking inventory and extrapolating upon the heart and soul of Elbaz’s work: playful hand-drawn illustrations, phrases, icons, patterns, and characters. We created a flexible, scalable system that could live across mediums that accentuated the offerings while reverberating Elbaz’s signature style. We embraced imperfections and aimed to tell a story that felt natural, unrehearsed, and alive with the beauty of love.

We needed a full-service, multi-channel campaign to tell the world about the seasonal lines. We needed to deliver creative in the form of print ads, digital ads, 15 and 30-second commercials, and a range of social media content. We incorporated key Alber Elbaz signatures to reinforce the text prints synonymous with his history on the runway. We created a series of social bombs that featured the bags, a little spontaneous dancing, and snapshots of busy NYC streets. The results captured the soul of the traveling nomad, city native, and transplant alike.
